Matrix Cycle Club Vision

Matrix Cycle Club is a nonprofit bicycling club dedicated to promoting and developing fast recreational and performance cycling. The Club is for cyclists of all ages and abilities generally residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Most members are students or working adults who enjoy bicycle racing and performance training.

The Club aims to help junior riders develop a life-long love of cycling by operating the Matrix/RBM Jr/U23 Development Program. For junior cyclists that choose to compete in races we provide enhanced levels of coaching, regular training rides, team presence at key race events, a race reimbursement scheme and travel stipends for national championships.

In the long history of the Club we have a proud record of developing state, national and world level competitive cyclists. The Club also invests a great deal of effort into growing and developing cycling as a recreational activity within the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

2016 saw the establishment of the Club's first Matrix/RBM Womens Elite Cyclocross team within Matrix Cycling Club resulting in two National Masters Championships and a junior podium at CX Nationals Championships in Hartford, CT. The Elite Women collected numerous Texas Cyclocross State Championship titles since inception.  The elite women also make time to assist and role model for the next generation of rides through assistance at Junior Practices and by hosting clinics.

The Club continues the long history of fielding an Elite Men's Road Team. The Club is recognized nationally for producing multiple national and international level racers. The team is currently composed of a number of riders that have been developed through the Junior/U23 Matrix /RBM Development program.

Matrix/RBM Junior/U23 Development Program

The Matrix/RBM Junior & Under-23 Development Program is a developmental bicycle racing program organized and run as part of the Matrix Cycle Club. The program is just that, a program, which means it is a multifaceted cycling program for juniors and under-23 year old racers/riders of all abilities, skills, experience, goals and disciplines. The program is not an "elite team" but rather a varied support system for all varieties of racers under the age of 23.

The mission of the program is to develop young cyclists into competent, competitive racers who realize their potential. We strive to do this by:

  • Providing new riders with a welcoming introduction to the cycling/racing family;
  • Provide a clear path for riders to develop and grow in the sport of cycling;
  • Enabling elite riders to continue to develop by integrating with additional programs and existing national development programs;
  • Creating and fostering personal growth on and off the bike;
  • Ensuring that entry to cycling is low cost and accessible to any junior or under 23 who wants to race;
  • Maintaining a fun atmosphere of support and camaraderie.

Disciplines: Road; Mountain; Track; Cyclocross; Adventure

Eligible Riders: Membership to the program is open to and automatic for all Matrix members whose USA Cycling racing age is that of a junior or under 23. (Dec. 31 of that current year). All members of the Matrix Jr/U23 Program are expected to fill out the Matrix Cycle Club membership application and read and sign the release form; if under the age of 18 have their parent read and sign the release form.
